Alessandra Rich presented her Spring 2027 collection in her Mount Street apartment in London, transforming the space into an intimate, art-filled boudoir. The setting reflected the designer’s vision of a woman whose personal style is shaped by the objects she collects, the artists she admires and the character of her home.
Rich invited a select group of female artist friends to contribute works to the presentation, including Alma Berrow, Anissa Kermiche, Alexandra Gordienko and Polina Osipova. Their pieces helped create an atmosphere that felt personal, slightly untidy and lived-in, with art and fashion sharing the same space.
Rich, herself an avid collector, explained that the setting represented a woman surrounded by objects she loves, each carrying a connection to the artist who created it. Among the works on display were an image of a nude woman by Italian photographer Guen Fiore, drawn from Rich’s personal collection, Kermiche’s curvaceous “Iron Ladies” and Berrow’s metal chairs and ceramic pieces inspired by cigarette butts.
Against this artistic backdrop, Rich placed greater emphasis on daywear while retaining the sensuality that has become a hallmark of her label. Cotton jacquards, silk fabrics with miniature floral motifs and shiny textiles woven with nylon threads gave the collection an outdoorsy quality. The mood echoed lookbook images photographed in and around a friend’s mansion outside Milan.
Apron dresses, bustier-inspired minidresses and quilted co-ord sets with high slits balanced femininity with a more relaxed, garden-party sensibility. The silhouettes revealed more skin than usual, with narrower straps and open backs lending the designs a lighter, more understated appeal.
Eveningwear maintained its polished character. A standout black velvet gown trimmed with feathers offered a dramatic finish without compromising the collection’s sense of composure.
For Spring 2027, Rich demonstrated how her signature sensuality could evolve through a more relaxed approach to dressing. By combining art, personal collections and wearable daywear with refined evening pieces, she created a presentation that felt intimate and individual while remaining true to her sophisticated aesthetic.
