Tate McRae is entering the fragrance market with Tate 01, a “second-skin” scent designed to blend with the wearer’s natural chemistry rather than overpower it.
Created in collaboration with Givaudan master perfumers Adriana Medina and Antoine Maisondieu, Tate 01 is built around ISO E Super, a woody fragrance ingredient known for interacting with individual skin chemistry to create a more personalized scent that develops throughout the day.
The fragrance opens with notes of bergamot and clary sage before revealing a heart of white florals. Amber, tonka bean, sandalwood and soft woods form the base, creating a warm, intimate finish.
McRae described the fragrance as an extension of her personal beauty routine and a scent designed to complement rather than define the person wearing it.
“With Tate 01, I set out to craft a scent that feels entirely second-skin: effortless, subtly edgy, and perfectly you,” McRae said. “It melts in so gracefully that it never wears you; it just enhances who you already are.”
She added that she particularly enjoys wearing the fragrance during rehearsals, when its character changes as it warms with her body.
A 1990s-inspired campaign
Tate 01 launches with a global campaign photographed by Mario Sorrenti, drawing inspiration from the visual language of 1990s supermodel culture.
Shot against natural landscapes, the campaign places McRae at the center of the brand’s identity, emphasizing individuality, confidence and a relaxed approach to beauty.
The launch marks the beginning of a broader fragrance venture built around McRae’s personal aesthetic and creative direction.
