Sophie Turner returned to the spotlight Tuesday at Louis Vuitton’s spring 2027 presentation in Paris, marking her first appearance in front of cameras since July. The “Game of Thrones” star attended the show at the Louvre alongside Zendaya, Lisa, Keri Russell and other guests.

Turner made the occasion a beauty statement, debuting a darker hair color and a dramatic take on ’80s-inspired styling. Dressed in a tricolor leather jacket with matching leather pants and pointed-toe pumps, she wore her newly rich espresso-brown hair in voluminous barrel curls.

Sophie Turner’s Espresso Hair Makes a Statement

The actress’ previous milk-chocolate brown shade has been replaced with a deeper burnt-espresso tone, a color that has emerged prominently among celebrities and guests at the spring shows. Rather than keeping the transformation sleek and understated, Turner added large, textured curls that framed her face in a distinctly ’80s-inspired shape.

The stylist responsible for Turner’s latest color and curls has not been revealed. She has previously worked with celebrity stylist Christian Wood, whose clients include Mia Goth and Sarah Pidgeon.

Turner’s last public appearance came in July at a St-Germain pop-up at Mondrian Cannes. At that event, her hair was a lighter chestnut brown, making the latest transformation a noticeable shift toward a richer, darker shade.

The change also arrives as deep brown hair continues to gain attention. In August, hair artist Cody Renegar predicted growing interest in “deep chocolate browns” for fall, alongside the continued popularity of “espresso melt,” a technique that blends dark roots with subtle highlights. Hailey Bieber, Ella Bright and “Off Campus” star Mika Abdalla have also recently embraced similar dark brown tones.

For fashion and beauty readers, Turner’s Louis Vuitton appearance offers another high-profile example of how darker brunette shades are carrying into the new season. Her decision to pair the color with oversized curls also shows how the current brown-hair trend is being interpreted through distinctly retro styling.
