Savage X Fenty has finally announced its first face after being on the block for a year. Rising musical sensation, Normani has been handpicked by Rihanna herself to star in the brands 2019 holiday campaigns and will continue to appear in the brand’s campaign for the Spring 2020 season.

The 23-year-old motivational star took to Instagram to share this news first. “I’m the first-ever brand ambassador for @savagexfenty ♥️♥️♥️♥️✨ !!! I love you @badgalriri.” I want all individuals to feel empowered and to embrace who they truly are. I don’t always wake up feeling the most confident and powerful, but trust and believe having my Savage X on always helps!!”

Rihanna in her release said, “Normani is the perfect choice for a Savage X ambassador. She exudes confidence and power. Everything she does is executed with passion and the belief she’s going to kill it. That’s why people gravitate toward her.”

The ex Fifth Harmony wasn’t one to hold back on her praise for Rihanna and the message she is trying to send through Savage X Fenty. In her statement, Normani said, ” I was very excited and really honored, especially that the ask came from Rihanna herself. I know that this is her passion project, something she genuinely and wholeheartedly believes in and cares about, and the fact that she wanted me to be a part of that meant a lot to me,” she told Vogue. “I am beyond honored to join the Savage X family as their new global brand ambassador. ‪Rihanna is always at the cutting edge and continues to push the boundaries in everything she does. This is not Normani’s first stint with the brand. She recently performed at their 2019 runway show. The show was streamed on Amazon Prime and had a plethora of celebrities performing from the likes of Rihanna herself to Halsey, Cara Delevingne and Laverne Cox. Normani was the talk of the show with her flawless performance on the hit no. “Get Busy” by Sean Paul. No wonder RiRi wanted her as the face of the campaign. It will be interesting to see what this sensational singer will do for the brand in the coming future.
