At Dubai Fashion Week, the runway for That Concept Store’s Fall/Winter 2026/2027 collection showcased a stylishly curated mix of contemporary structures and expressive styling that struck an excellent balance between commercial viability and runway ready-to-wear polish. Lighting was focused, music had a rhythmic feel, and the venue had a clean, modern feel to it – all of which allowed the looks to flow in unison from one to the other, making it easy to follow the evolution of the first look and set the mood for the entire collection.
The first look had a very sharp, tailored silhouette, which represents the collection for the basis of sophistication, highlighting the notion of urban sophistication at its best. Overall, structured jackets, flowing dresses and layered textures flowed together in harmony throughout the presentation, emphasising proportion and versatility through movement/flow.
The designer played with the theory of contrast throughout the presentation (e.g., combining softer fabrics with tailored jackets) and featured some pieces that included subtle detailing that created light reflection without overwhelming the overall structure of the garment.
The highlight pieces of the collection included long, structured overcoats with strong shoulders as compared to traditional evening looks where structured tailoring is blended together with detailed surface embellishments.
The colors stayed cohesive, continuing to reinforce the overall message being sent through the collection itself. The fabrics added an additional element through a slight shine. The final look was a strong finisher, continuing to reinforce the structured elegance from the beginning while adding a touch of refinement through the added accessories.
Overall, the styling elements reinforced the direction in which the collection was heading. Hair was sleek and understated, makeup natural, and accessories carefully placed to enhance without overpowering the clothing. The models walked steadily and purposefully, continuing to reinforce the silhouette as it traveled down the runway.
Rather than opting to go in an avant-garde direction, the collection succeeded in its cohesion and sophisticated wearability. The presentation itself showed a strong understanding of the fashion crowd in Dubai, offering a well-rounded collection on the runway.
