L’Enchanteur made a splash at its first ready-to-wear runway show during Spring 2026 New York Fashion Week, transforming the Brooklyn space into an immersive undersea world inspired by 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and The Black Atlantic. Twin sisters Dynasty and Soull Ogun, winners of the 2024 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award, brought their signature mystical sensibility—previously focused on jewelry—into textiles for the first time on the runway.
The collection explored maritime themes through cotton separates printed with colorful fish, khaki pieces accessorized with octopus-shaped bibs, plaid deconstructed silhouettes, and sailor-inspired pants. Ruffled collars, tentacle-like hems, and fin-shaped details emphasized the oceanic inspiration, while fabrics included linen and copper-infused textiles sourced from Dominica, honoring the sisters’ family history.
Spring 2026 also marked L’Enchanteur’s debut in footwear, featuring leather sandals, flip-flops, and loafers crafted by artisans in Lagos, alongside new glass-blown handbags. Models walked to a soundtrack spanning Alice Coltrane, Leontyne Price, and Detroit electronic duo Drexciya, while rapper Joey Bada$$ appeared on the runway. The front row included Lauryn Hill, Leslie Odom Jr., Whoopi Goldberg, and other notable figures, reflecting the brand’s unique positioning between fashion and artistry.
As Soull Ogun explained backstage, “We’re not necessarily in the business of fashion, we’re in the business of L’Enchanteur,” emphasizing the sisters’ vision of creating an immersive, magical universe rather than just clothing. The debut runway show highlighted L’Enchanteur’s blend of storytelling, craftsmanship, and innovation, marking an exciting new chapter for the brand.
