The Spring/Summer 2026 collection by Fendi Couture was marked by a classic elegance that showcased texture rather than spectacle. The collection featured shades of sand, bone, dusty rose and metallic taupe, allowing for an overview of Roman authenticity without excess.

Fendi’s direction of focus was to emphasize construction and innovation rather than theatricality.

Tailoring was a large component of this collection; unusual shoulder shapes paired with long skirts that moved around the body were an American inspired cutting technique. Surface manipulation (pleating, laser cut detailing and detailed stitching) led to an architectural approach, as opposed to using embellishment as a technique of sophistication. The dresses were developed using alternative textile compositions; silk organza, satin and light wool were used in combination to create discrimination of softness and rigour.

The dresses also featured structural draping that shaped the torso of each model; neutral tones were predominantly used to create a dramatic effect on the shape of each dress. One exceptional piece was an ivory sculpted column gown with huge layered pleated panels that created movement without compromising formality; embellishments were also used in the form of tone on tone embroidery as opposed to glitzy crystals, continuing the controlled aesthetic of the collection.

Models walked with deliberation and control; the garments completed the overall look and so demanded the attention of the audience. The absence of theatrics in this show allowed for an authoritative presence.

The pacing of the show felt deliberate and composed. Models walked with measured restraint, allowing the garments to command attention. The absence of excessive drama worked in the collection’s favor; it underscored Fendi’s mastery of refined construction and material sophistication. Spring/Summer 2026 reaffirmed the house’s commitment to modern couture rooted in craftsmanship and subtle innovation.
