The Autumn/Winter 2026 collection by Ahluwalia was a masterful melding of the traditional with the modern. Priya Ahluwalia explored the concept of cultural diversity through highly defined silhouettes built up with textural knitwear, providing warmth for the wearer.

The first look featured an indigo wool coat layered over wide leg trousers, presenting a coherent balance of authority and style. The runway featured many examples of patchwork applications or soft patterning to provide additional depth without overpowering each piece. The colour palette was made up primarily of earthy colours – deep green, burnt orange and navy blue – helping to provide warmth to the collection and tie it to the season.

While this collection showcased the tailoring process at its finest, being the centre focus, the tapered waistlines combined with elongated proportions produced an illusion of verticality in each garment.

The collection conveyed a sense of thoughtfulness rather than theatricality and demonstrated that artistry/skill is paramount to creating garments of quality. The Autumn/Winter 2026 collection reaffirmed Ahluwalia’s capabilities in harmonizing a narrative form of design with clear sense of commerce.
