According to its annual results for the year that concluded on December 30, US-based BtB promotional merchandiser 4imprint continues to see solid demand from the medium-sized enterprises that it supplies.

And that ought to go on after a fruitful transition from direct mail marketing to online and television (a recent UK-wide television campaign has been airing) to advertise its wide array of goods (such as T-shirts, bags, umbrellas, and cups) that allow businesses to put their names and logos on them.

The $1.7 billion London-listed company saw a 16% increase in worldwide sales to just over $1.3 billion last year, while revenues in its much smaller UK & Ireland region climbed by 21% to $23.9 million. In 2022, the company boasted over 2 million total orders and over 300,000 new clients both domestically and overseas.

Pre-tax earnings increased overall by 32% to $141 million as a result. It stated that the net operating margin “reflects stability in supply chain conditions” because it stayed over 10%.

CEO Kevin Lyons-Tarr claims that these marketing initiatives “remain productive” because they focus on mid-sized businesses with more than 25 people, which he refers to as the “sweet spot” of the market.

According to him, the current trend is for “longer-lasting, more meaningful products” rather than “lower-end giveaways,” such backpacks instead of reusable plastic bags. According to him, this change had increased during the pandemic.

Paul Moody, Chairman, went on, “The Group has demonstrated a clear strategy and a highly resilient business model by making significant operational and financial progress in 2023.”

“Trading performance in the first two months of 2024 have been consistent with consensus projections and the board’s expectations. We have faith that we will keep gaining market share.
