Robert Talbott taps former Eton Shirts: Sebastian Dollinger’s appointment as creative director, announced on Monday by American heritage menswear brand Robert Talbott, signals a new phase of expansion and creativity for the company.

Dollinger comes to Robert Talbott from Eton Shirts, where he spent the previous fifteen years as creative director. In the spring or summer of 2025, Robert Talbott will debut his debut collection.

With the intention of relaunching the Robert Talbott business by utilizing its brand equity with revised designs and the assignment of an experienced executive team, the appointment comes after Newtimes Group’s 2022 acquisition of the Californian brand.

Alex Angelchik, CEO of Newtimes Brands, stated, “Sebastian Dollinger’s visionary leadership perfectly aligns with our mission to redefine sophistication and style, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to men’s specialty stores and proudly upholding our California heritage.”

Robert Talbott, which was established in 1950 in Carmel, California, produces classic, opulent ties and shirts for men in addition to a full collection of casual wear items that includes blazers, sweaters, slacks, knits, and accessories.

“Our innovative attitude will be the inspiration for designing clothes that exude style, comfort, and unique touches. Dollinger stated, “We will hyper-focus on shirts and ties, which is our tradition and will be essential to our narrative, as well as on our sportswear lines. Nick Picchione, senior vice president of merchandising, is leading the design team.

Newtimes Group, which was established about 60 years ago, is an expert in product development, sourcing, and supply chain management for the export of clothing, accessories, and home goods to Europe, North America, Central America, and South America.

With 50 locations spread around Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, Newtimes has expanded since its founding to rank among the largest professionally managed supply chain managers in the world. The family-run business, which was founded in 2005, has bought and is currently running clothing companies under the Newtimes Brands division. These companies include Ashworth Golf, Bike Athletic, Coldwater Creek, and Soft Surroundings.
