Ralph Lauren Home opens in Portugal: On March 26, Ralph Lauren Home officially opened its doors to the public in a beautifully restored late 19th-century building in Foz do Douro. Unannounced, this exclusive storefront gave curious onlookers a glimpse into the illustrious American label’s inner workings. Specifically, in late April, in conjunction with a thorough WHStore project presentation, plans are afoot to disclose two extra rooms inside the store that will be devoted entirely to fixtures from Hudson Valley Lighting Group.

The location, at 247 Senhora da Luz Street, is perfect for specialized business ventures due to its air of exclusivity and its proximity to the water and the beaches of Ourigo and Luz. The 150 square meter showroom and architecture studio next to the store have preserved the century-old allure of the family’s summer home.

An assortment of lighting, furniture, and accessories, including collections of office and dinnerware, fill the long space that front Foz’s busy commercial thoroughfare. Each and every one of the robes, cushions, beach towels, linens, tableware, bath necessities, and more—from porcelain and crystal dishes to tiny travel bags, letter holders, paperweights, frames, desk protectors, and more—bears the signature of the prestigious American brand. This home decor collection is meticulously organized into different sections to highlight the unique style and practicality of each item.

The company’s Instagram account, @whstore.pt, is up and running while the website is still being built. Valeriya Myronova and Valeriy Vedula, who are designers from Ukraine, are in charge of it. As Myronova reflected on the importance of Ralph Lauren’s presence in Portugal, she highlighted the accomplishment of having a presence in the country and their prolonged relationship with the brand.

Myronova was excited about the upcoming launch of the seaside rooms for Hudson Valley Lighting Group and mentioned that they are aiming to open by the end of the month. Offering a customized experience for demanding clients, the firm focuses on full-scale architectural and interior design projects, with a significant focus on Ralph Lauren pieces supplemented by other brands.
