JOOR launches sustainability-focused Passport event

JOOR launches sustainability: JOOR, the leading online wholesale platform, is taking a significant step towards sustainability with its latest initiative, the Sustainability in Focus event. Running until early June, this special event aims to spotlight sustainable brands from around the globe through a dedicated digital destination created by JOOR.


Known as JOOR Passport, this centralized digital hub serves as a platform for buyers to explore and purchase products showcased at various global fashion weeks and trade shows. With over 90 fashion events hosted to date, JOOR Passport has attracted a vast audience of over 450,000 retail visitors from 174 countries. Additionally, nearly 9,000 brands have participated in Passport events, collectively selling nearly a million products.


The Sustainability in Focus event aligns with Earth Month and features 136 brands that prioritize sustainability across their operations. These brands are dedicated to initiatives such as sustainable materials, ethical manufacturing, eco-friendly packaging, circularity, and fair trade and labor practices. Notable brands included in the showcase are Ganni, Johnstons of Elgin, Marine Serre, Nanushka, Pangaia, Stella McCartney, Vilebrequin, Vivienne Westwood, and Zadig & Voltaire, among others.


Amanda McCormick Bacal, the Senior Vice President of Marketing at JOOR, expressed pride in highlighting these sustainable brands, emphasizing the company’s commitment to providing them with increased visibility and connecting them with top retailers worldwide through its extensive network of global fashion buyers.


Furthermore, JOOR emphasizes its own sustainability efforts, including its online-only business model, which helps reduce travel and carbon emissions for brands and retailers. Additionally, JOOR provides an eco-friendly filter on its platform, enabling users to search for products based on sustainability criteria.
