Jacquemus launches wedding line, unveils new Paris offices
Simon Porte Jacquemus, a French designer, is expanding his Jacquemus label in many ways. He is carefully shaping the brand’s image and adding new ready-to-wear lines and immersive lifestyle components to his offers. Press releases and sneak peeks on the label’s social media channels are part of the extensive communication effort that is accompanying this growth in order to engage the Jacquemus community.
There has been a lot of activity from Jacquemus in the retail sector. The label, which generated over €200 million in sales last year, partnered with the Chalhoub Group, a leading Middle Eastern luxury distributor, to launch a franchise store in Dubai. New York and London are also scheduled to host other store openings. Recently, Jacquemus launched a bridal collection for men and women called “Le mariage,” in addition to expanding its product portfolio to include childrenswear, garden furniture, home linens, and more.

The “Le mariage” collection showcases the characteristic minimalist design of Jacquemus and includes summer basics, shoes, jewelry, purses, and wedding apparel. From €190 for bikini bottoms to a little over €2,000 for bridal gowns, the price range is rather wide. As part of his ongoing foray into the hospitality sector, Jacquemus is also hard at work on a forthcoming beach club, restaurant, and store in Saint-Tropez.
Jacquemus is diversifying its business model to appeal to affluent consumers by highlighting its ties to the art world. The runway shows at the Mucem museum and the Maeght Foundation highlight Porte Jacquemus’s lifelong devotion to the arts. The new Paris headquarters of the label, created by the architectural firm OMA, has the feel of an art gallery thanks to its collection of high-end furnishings and paintings by famous artists.
With its next exhibition in Capri at the historic Villa Malaparte, Jacquemus hopes to reinforce its refined image while celebrating its 15th anniversary. This iconic site, known for its cinematic past and modernist architecture, will now play host to a fashion show, showcasing Jacquemus’s artistic and fashion-forward approach.
