Italy’s Cucinelli posts 39% jump: Earlier this week, Italian luxury goods company Brunello Cucinelli announced a 39.4 percent increase in operating profit for the last year and reaffirmed its forecast for sales growth of over 10% in 2024.

“The first quarter of this 2024 is drawing to a close with particularly pleasing results, and in view of the good order intake for Men’s – Women’s Fall/Winter 2024, we envisage a gracious growth in sales of around 10% for this year, resulting in healthy and balanced profits,” said Brunello Cucinelli, the group’s founder and head of executive operations.

Profit before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the cashmere clothing company came in at 187.4 million euros ($204.1 million), which is in line with what analysts were expecting according to LSEG’s consensus.
