Marco Bizzarri is embarking on a new venture after an illustrious eighteen-year tenure with Kering, during which he led several of the group’s prestigious fashion houses, including Gucci, from 2015 to 2023. He is now focusing on investments in companies and human resources, starting with a significant move involving the Elisabetta Franchi label.
Through Nessifashion, a newly established holding company of which he is the sole director, Marco Bizzarri has acquired a minority stake in the Italian ready-to-wear brand. While the exact investment amount remains undisclosed, Bizzarri’s stake could potentially increase to 23%, with him assuming the role of chairman of Elisabetta Franchi.

Elisabetta Franchi, founded by the entrepreneurial designer in 1998 as Betty Blue, has grown into a renowned name in high-end, glamorous women’s ready-to-wear. With 85 single-brand shops across 78 countries and distribution through multi-brand boutiques, the label has expanded globally while maintaining its production mainly in Italy and employing 300 people. The brand has diversified its offerings to include accessories, swimwear, and a line for girls. It has recently collaborated with Pronovias to launch a bridal line.

He expresses his confidence in Elisabetta Franchi’s vision and success, and Bizzarri sees significant potential for expansion in Europe and internationally. The label, which achieved sales exceeding €100 million in 2016 and forecasts €170 million for 2023, with 50% generated abroad, represents a lucrative investment opportunity in the fashion and luxury sectors.
