Ex-Browns lynchpin Petersson named to Filippa K board

Seems like Filippa K is gaining from the Browns’ loss. Ida Petersson, the former Buying Director of the upscale store before Farfetch was acquired by Coupang, has joined the Filippa K board.

Having been the driving force behind prestigious luxury fashion partners like Harvey Nichols, Net-A-Porter, and most recently Browns, the firm stated she “brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Swedish fashion house’s board.”

“Her visionary approach has consistently focused on creating compelling, globally inclusive, and socially conscious strategies for both brand and product development over her more than two decades of experience.”

One of the key figures in the Browns setup, Petersson often served as the store’s spokesman when it came to trends and merchandise.

Her partnership with Ramya Giangola to create Good Eggs, a global full-service creative and brand strategy agency, in January preceded her entrance at Filippa K.

Petersson’s “insights will be instrumental in furthering the brand’s mission to emerge as a globally-loved affordable luxury brand,” according to Filippa K Chairman Anders Ullstrand.

The appointment “reinforces the house’s commitment to advancing its legacy and offering an effortless capsule wardrobe tailored to modern life,” and comes soon after Anna Teurnell was designated Creative Lead for the company.
