Dick’s Sporting Goods partners with the Boston Celtics and Red Sox

Dick’s Sporting Goods partners: Two illustrious Boston sports franchises, the Red Sox and the Celtics, were announced as strategic partners by Dick’s Sporting Goods on Wednesday. By signing these multi-year deals, Dick’s has further cemented its position as the official sports goods retailer for each franchise, deepening its ties to the thriving Boston community.

The grand opening of the massive 100,000 square foot retail area, Dick’s House of Sport at Prudential Center, followed closely by the announcement of the partnerships. The HitTrax multi-sport cage, climbing wall, and several golf bays with TrackMan simulators are just a few of the immersive in-store experiences offered by the House of Sport, which boasts a broad choice of items.

Partnering with two legendary Boston sports teams is a huge deal, and Dick’s Sporting Goods VP of creative, sponsorships, and entertainment, Mark Rooks, was quite enthusiastic about the deals. In order to attract the city of Boston’s die-hard sports fans, Rooks proposed joint ventures between the Red Sox and the Celtics and Dick’s House of Sport at Prudential Center.

Both the Boston Celtics and the Boston Red Sox have agreed to provide Dick’s with exclusive ticketing and fan experiences as part of their partnerships. Furthermore, the company makes sure to get the necessary intellectual property rights to be used within the Boston area’s House of Sport shop and online platforms. Additionally, during some home games at Fenway Park and at TD Garden, Dick’s House of Sport will have substantial logo display.

Besides promoting the brands and encouraging fan participation, Dick’s will also be heavily involved in youth programs for both teams. To further demonstrate its dedication to developing young athletes in the Boston area, the brand will be the presenting partner for the Boston Red Sox’s Kid Nation and the Boston Celtics’ Junior Celtics Academy All Girls Showcases.
