Bulgari to sponsor Whitney Biennial
The next three Whitney Biennials will be co-sponsored by Bulgari, the luxury goods house.
The Whitney Biennial is a prominent American contemporary art event that is known for discovering new artists; as part of the collaboration, Bulgari will be the principal sponsor for the 2024, 2026, and 2028 editions of the biennial.
Chrissie Iles and Meg Onli will be in charge of curating the upcoming 81st edition, which will feature seventy-one avant-garde artists and collectives. Opening on March 20 and continuing until August 11, 2024, the exhibition named ‘Whitney Biennial 2024: Even Better Than the Real Thing’ delves into the ways in which AI is influencing our perception of reality, as well as the discourse surrounding gender and authenticity.
We are incredibly excited to begin our collaboration with the Whitney Museum, which is widely recognized as a leading advocate for modern and contemporary art on a global scale. “Our commitment to the arts is further strengthened by this collaboration,” stated Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Bulgari Group.
“The Whitney Museum is a major force in modern art, and for a house like Bulgari, which is all about originality and creativity, this is a must-do in order to keep expanding our horizons through culturally significant experiences,” the statement read.
The restoration of famous monuments and archaeological sites in Rome are just a few examples of the many artistic endeavors that Bulgari has supported throughout the years.
