David Wielemans will take over as CFO of Swarovski beginning in April 2023. David Wielemans will be joining Swarovski’s Executive Committee as a new member, reporting to CEO Alexis Nasard. Mr. Wielemans’ new home base is the Swiss municipality of Männedorf. Mr. Frederik Westring, the current CFO and interim, will be leaving Swarovski at the end of June to pursue other interests, and Mr. Wielemans will be taking over for him. Up until that time, Mr. Westring will remain in charge of overseeing special projects while reporting to Alexis Nasard, the company’s CEO.

This appointment marks the continuation of Swarovski’s march towards a more upscale image.

David Wielemans is an accomplished senior finance professional with extensive background in the luxury and retail sectors and extensive knowledge of related financial topics. He comes to us from his position as Co-CFO of the EssilorLuxottica Group and Group CFO of Essilor International, both of which he held prior to joining our team.

David Wielemans has a DECF in accounting and finance from the CNAM Paris (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers).
