Melissa Worth is leaving her role as senior vice president of New Balance Americas, the athleticwear brand confirmed, marking a leadership change in the company’s US executive team.
Worth’s departure comes after several years with New Balance, where she played a key role in driving strategic initiatives across the Americas market. In her position as SVP, she oversaw functions tied to brand growth, retail operations and regional strategy as the company expanded its footprint in North America.
While New Balance did not detail the reasons for Worth’s exit, a spokesperson said the company appreciates her contributions and wishes her well in her next endeavours. The brand is conducting an internal review of its leadership structure and will share updates on Worth’s replacement “in due course.”
Worth’s exit follows a broader period of executive movement in the athletic and fashion industries this year, with companies adjusting leadership to align with changing market dynamics and growth priorities.
New Balance Americas continues to focus on expanding its product lines, strengthening direct-to-consumer channels and deepening relationships with wholesale partners across the US and Canada. The company has recently rolled out new retail concepts and collaborated with designers and partners to energise its brand appeal.
Internal sources say Worth’s responsibilities are being redistributed among senior leaders as part of a transitional plan, ensuring continuity in key business areas ahead of official announcements on new leadership. New Balance executives emphasise that the leadership change will not affect the company’s strategic priorities in the region.
