Louis Vuitton debuts dedicated beauty space at Galeries Lafayette Paris
Louis Vuitton has opened its first dedicated beauty corner at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, marking the debut of its new make-up line, La Beauté Louis Vuitton. The 40-square-metre space sits beneath the department store’s iconic dome and introduces the brand’s beauty offering to the public for the first time.
The Paris flagship of Galeries Lafayette, a major destination for international shoppers, was selected as the launch location for the new concept. Louis Vuitton, part of the LVMH group, is expanding its presence beyond fashion, leather goods and fragrance with this move into make-up.
The collection represents a new chapter in the house’s vision of beauty as an extension of travel and self-expression. Creative direction has been led by renowned make-up artist Dame Pat McGrath, who describes the range as both expressive and wearable for everyday life.
To support the launch, Louis Vuitton designed a bespoke in-store environment on the ground floor. The corner features an open metal structure with the brand’s signature diamond motif, combined with wood, woven leather and champagne-toned metal finishes. A consultation area offers personalised advice and product discovery.
The make-up line is organised into three ranges: LV Rouge, featuring 55 lipstick shades; LV Baume, with 10 shades; and LV Ombres, comprising eight eye palettes. All products include an exclusive scent developed by Louis Vuitton master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.
The refillable packaging, designed by Konstantin Grcic, reflects the house’s heritage codes while emphasising durability. An exclusive lipstick trunk displaying the full colour range is also showcased within the space.
