Bulgari Delivers a Trio of Octo Finissimo Sketch Limited Editions
Bulgari Delivers a Trio of Octo Finissimo : Three limited versions will be added to Bulgari’s Octo Finissimo watch line in honor of the Maison’s 140th anniversary. The dial is the distinguishing feature of these updated versions compared to earlier Octo Finissimo references. Providing a skeletonized impression reminiscent of trompe l’oeil, the dials are embellished with technical drawings of the fitted movement.

Bulgari
Bulgari utilizes the schizzi, an influential technique from the Renaissance for creating technical drawings, and elevates it to a whole new level, honoring its Italian origins while bringing it into the modern world. Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the executive director of product innovation at Bulgari, lent his vibrant style to the dials by painting them with loose, unplanned strokes.
Octo Finissimo Automatique BVL 138 Sketch is the name of two of the limited editions that are automatics. The steel variant will have 280 units made, while the rose gold version will have 70 units. A 60-hour power-reserve in-house BVL 138 calibre ticks away inside the 40mm-wide watch casing. The rose gold model will cost roughly €51,000 (or $55,812 in US dollars), while the steel model will cost around €17,800 (or $19,479 in US dollars).

Bulgari has been mum on the details regarding the third model, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT BVL 318 Sketch, until now. A technical drawing was all that the Maison had to hint at its design. In addition to three subdials, the official teaser for the Chronograph GMT indicated that it will feature an annotated image of the movement. The ultra-thin BCl 318 Manufacture movement will power this model, which will be encased in steel. There will be a limited edition of 140 watches, each with a unique serial number, and they will retail for €20,800 (about $22,763 USD). The official website of Bulgari will provide more details.
