The Academy Museum Gala and Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles brought together some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment, including Demi Moore, Vittoria Ceretti, Adriana Lima and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Despite their different looks, the stars shared one beauty essential: carefully prepared, radiant skin.
Behind the scenes, celebrity facialists Mimi Luzon, Keren Bartov and Shani Darden used advanced skincare technology, targeted ingredients and personalized treatments to prepare their clients for the high-profile events.
Luzon treated Ceretti, who attended both events, alongside Victoria’s Secret models including Lima, Irina Shayk, Alessandra Ambrosio, Precious Lee, Jasmine Tookes, Joan Smalls and Elsa Hosk. Her approach combined advanced skin-tightening technology with her signature precious-metal masks.
Her treatment lineup featured Oligio monopolar radiofrequency to improve skin texture and firmness, InMode bipolar radiofrequency, and Sofwave technology for lifting and sculpting the face, neck and body.
“It’s really important that we don’t have any downtime,” said Luzon, who traveled from Israel for the events. She highlighted Oligio’s immediate effect on defining the jawline, making it particularly suitable for clients preparing for major appearances.

Luzon completed the treatments with her signature 24-karat gold mask layered over a professional DNA mask, using massage techniques to help the products absorb into the skin. According to the facialist, the combination supports circulation, collagen production and a more even complexion.
Her approach also included silver masks for sensitive or acne-prone skin and platinum masks designed to improve firmness. She introduced Exogold, a new formula featuring peptides, exosomes and gold.
“I’m choosing the metal mask according to the skin type of the girl,” Luzon said. “But most of the girls we did the gold mask.”
London-based facialist Bartov also prepared a roster of celebrities for both occasions. Her Academy Museum Gala clients included Moore, Adrien Brody, Eiza González, Jodie Turner-Smith, Karlie Kloss, Leslie Mann and Mikey Madison. For the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, she worked with Elsa Hosk, Jasmine Tookes, Joan Smalls and Amelia Hamlin. Her wider clientele includes Kim Kardashian, who attended the gala, and Julia Roberts.
Bartov focused on achieving a sculpted appearance and luminous complexion, with treatments designed to deliver the sought-after glass-skin effect.
“What they want for this event is to sculpt and tighten the skin and make the skin glowing, like glass skin,” she said, noting that combining different technologies within one session can help maximize results.
Her treatments incorporated Onda Coolwaves for facial contouring, Lumenis radiofrequency for delicate areas, TriLift for facial muscle stimulation and Geneo ultrasound to improve product absorption. These procedures followed lymphatic drainage massage and enzymatic exfoliation.
Bartov also used several skincare formulas, including her Booster Peel & Glow Serum, Advanced Skin Serum, Exovive Serum and Wake Up Skin Serum, alongside a peptide-rich moisturizer.
Consistency, she explained, remains essential to maintaining results beyond a single event. “To see the best result, you must be consistent,” Bartov said. “It’s like the gym.”
Meanwhile, Los Angeles-based facialist Darden prepared Jessica Alba for the Academy Museum Gala and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Shayk and Ashley Graham for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Her signature approach combines a gentle chemical peel, which inspired her Triple Acid Signature Peel, with a range of treatments designed to brighten and refine the complexion. These include vibration therapy, LED light, microcurrent, cryotherapy and oxygen treatments.
Darden emphasized that preparing skin for a major event requires a careful balance between visible results and avoiding irritation or recovery time.
“Before a big event, I never want to do anything too aggressive,” she said. “It’s really about bringing out their glow, sculpting the face, and making sure the skin looks its absolute best without any downtime.”
