US Open (now through September 13)
While the 2026 US Open kicked off near the end of August, this month is when the energy (and the stakes) reaches its peak. The rounds continue on, and the list of surviving players shrinks until the new champions are finally crowned. Grab a ticket and be there to watch all the excitement — whether you’re a fan of singles matches or doubles, or hopefully both, there’s a whole schedule of fun happening every day of the tournament.
When you’re taking a break from the matches, hit up one of the countless brand activations for freebies and contests, or check out one of the lounges for a break from the heat (and some more free goodies). Chase cardmembers can reserve passes for the Chase Lounge at 9am the day before their US Open session, while Platinum and Centurion AMEX cardmembers can reserve Centurion Lounge access at 9:30am the morning of their session via Resy.
The US Open has become one of the hottest tickets around —with resale prices climbing higher and higher every year. If you’re not able to attend in person, don’t fret! Bars and restaurants all throughout the city are hosting watch parties and drink specials that’ll make it feel like you’re right there alongside all the action.
Enjoy the US Open’s trademark Honey Deuce from the comfort of Lotte New York Palace’s courtyard, which has been transformed into a fun destination match watch parties, with their outdoor screen and stocked bar. If you’re feeling tequila over vodka, the tournament’s signature Ace Paloma cocktail (Dobel Diamante Cristalino Tequila, grapefruit soda, and fresh lime) is calling your name. Stop by The Mark Hotel, COCODAQ, The Polo Bar, Cosme, The Corner Store, and among other NYC hot spots to try the tasty drink — and you can also try Taylor Fritz’s Fritzy Spicy Margarita and Aryna Sabalenka’s Sabalenka Smash while you’re at it.

Love Island USA S8 winner Bryce Alakai’s DJ sets (September 10-11)
Sept. 10 show: Elsewhere venue at 7pm (tickets)
Sept. 11 show: Webster Hall venue at 11pm (tickets)
You’ve watched Bryce Alakai fall in love with fellow winner Trinity Tatum all season long on the latest season of Love Island USA, you saw him show off his beautiful new relationship on the show’s recent reunion episode, and now it’s time to see him, live, in person, in his comfort zone: in the DJ booth.
Throughout Season 8 of Love Island, Bryce opened up about both his life as a model and as a handyman in between gigs, but he also spoke about his love of music and his DJ career. The latter of which is now blossoming, thanks in large part to his new reality show fame. What that means for New Yorkers is that there are now TWO chances to catch him performing this month — on September 10 at Elsewhere in Brooklyn and on September 11 at Webster Hall in the city. Who knows, fans might just spot other Love Island stars in the crowd — it will be NYFW, after all.

Outside In and Nature of Beauty’s joint flagship store is opening in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City on September 12 — and there’s a hidden café in the back
Outside In and Nature of Things store opening + hidden café! (September 12)
SoHo is getting a brand-new beauty store, but it’s not just any store and it’s not just a store. Let me explain: Outside In and Nature of Things are opening a joint flagship store on September 12 at 31 Crosby Street… and there’s even a gorgeous café tucked away in the back. We’re talking the kind of pretty café you’re about to see all over your feeds.
The unique retail-meets-café destination has two entrances — one for the Carisa Janes-founded beauty brand Outside In and one for her relaunched brand Nature of Things, which is all about hair and body products. While there are two entrances, each welcoming you into their own thoughtfully designed stores, they meet in the back where the hidden café is awaiting your order. Tip: the Dirty Rose Latte with matcha is absolutely delicious.
The best part of the coffee shop area is the outdoor courtyard it leads out to, where you can escape with your drink of choice for some much-needed relaxation in the heart of SoHo. Bring a book, a journal, or just sit and enjoy.

During NYFW and beyond, Chanel is celebrating the launch of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu with a café-inspired pop-up in NYC in September, where fans can experience the new fragrance.
New York Fashion Week events (September 10-15)
Whatever the season, New York will always have concerts, pop-up events, fashionable affairs, and celebrities galore — but New York Fashion Week brings all of that to an all-time high. Famous faces from the worlds of music, movies, tech, and, of course, fashion are in the city for a packed week of catwalks, parties, and musical performances.
Every day of NYFW is filled with presentations from beloved brands like Alice + Olivia, Tory Burch, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger, as well as from exciting new collections, including designer Andy Yu’s collaboration with K-pop group Big Ocean. Most of the main NYFW events are invite-only, but there are still plenty of fun public events tied to NYFW for all to enjoy.
One in particular is hosted by Chanel, and it’s perfect for all the fragrance fans out there. From September 11-13, and September 18-20, you can celebrate Chanel’s new Coco Mademoiselle scent, Crush Absolu, with a personalized fragrance experience inside a beautiful café-inspired space, located at 873 Washington St. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments can also be made ahead of time on the event’s website.
For the fashion part of NYFW, you can head to Gap’s pop-up at Rockefeller Center’s Channel Gardens for a unique shopping experience. To celebrate the brand’s new GapBag collection, customers can not only purchase the new Five-Pocket Tote on-site, but also customize it to their liking. The versatile tote comes in multiple sizes and washes, and there are even limited-edition charms and accessories to really make it your own. The cherry on top? An embroidery station to put the final personalized touches on your new wear-everywhere bag. The event is open to the public September 11-13 (10am-6pm), and if you’re worried about finding the location, don’t be. The impressive GapBag replica installation situated in the middle of the gardens is a good way to know you’re absolutely in the right place.
Another free event taking place during NYFW is KAY Jewelers’ Love All In pop-up — an experience that encourages guests to go all out for the sake of love, through mini-games and photobooths. Plus, it all takes place within a space that mimics the inside of a jewelry box. Stop by September 10 near the Starrett-Lehigh building (6:30pm-8:30pm) or September 12 on West Broadway between Prince and Spring (11am-8pm).
If a mix of music and fashion is what you’re searching for, look no further than Victoria Monét’s NYFW performance. The Grammy Award winner is set to hit the stage during New York Fashion Week Festival on September 11 in Brooklyn. The event will feature not only her performance but also an exciting list of runway shows from designers of all styles.

The New York Mets are hosting a Fourth Wing Night on September 14, with the book series’ beloved author Rebecca Yarros set to attend.

Waiting for the fourth book in Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean (aka Fourth Wing) series is brutal, but a night out with fellow readers, as well as the author herself, will hopefully help ease the pain. The Mets are hosting a Fourth Wing Night for their September 14 game against the Baltimore Orioles, and it’s set to be the perfect mix of baseball and books!
Whether you’re a new reader of the Fourth Wing series or you’re a diehard fan, this evening is sure to be the perfect event for all — and the fun won’t end with the close of the baseball game, either, as a couple of the ticket packages include special Fourth Wing merch to take home with you! The basic Cadet Package gives you a ticket to attend the Mets’ Fourth Wing Night game, while the Section Leader Package includes the ticket and a Mets x Fourth Wing Crew Neck. The ultimate option is the Wingleader Package, which features a ticket, crew neck, Mets x Fourth Wing Kindle cover, and a Q&A with Rebecca Yarros.

Colin Jost and Pete Davidson are hosting a one-night-only comedy aboard their Staten Island Ferry on September 17.
Pete Davidson and Colin Jost’s Staten Island Ferry comedy show (September 17)
Time: Doors at 7pm, show at 8:30pm
Location: Pier 17
When Pete Davidson and Colin Jost decided to go in on purchasing a Staten Island Ferry for $280K in 2022 people were surprised and curious. What was the purpose? What were they planning to do with it? Four years later, we finally have an answer: a floating comedy show.
The Saturday Night Live stars — one former, one current —are set to do what they do best… but do it on a boat. On September 17, Snapple is helping to transform part of the ferry (dubbed the Snapple Island Ferry for affair) into a comedy club, with Colin and Pete hosting, and an as-yet-to-be-announced list of comedians performing sets.
What’s the ferry’s future beyond the one-night-only comedy show? Who’s to say! But for now, fans will finally get a chance to poke their heads around the boat and have a look at the big purchase — and enjoy a night of laughs while they’re at it. The event is free, with the coveted tickets dropping daily at 3pm from September 3-8 on the event’s website.
