Frankies Bikinis and Barefoot Dreams have joined forces for their first collaborative loungewear collection, bringing together relaxed California style and the comfort of exceptionally soft fabrics for the cooler months.

The capsule reflects the shared West Coast roots of the two Los Angeles-based brands, offering easy layers designed for lounging at home or staying comfortable on the go. For Frankies Bikinis founder and chief creative officer Francesca Aiello, the partnership was an opportunity to expand the brand’s offering while working with a label that shares its coastal sensibility.

Aiello told WWD that she wanted the collaboration to feel authentic in an increasingly crowded fashion market. Barefoot Dreams’ longstanding connection to Malibu and its reputation for comfort made the partnership a natural fit.

A New Direction for Frankies Bikinis

The collaboration also marks Aiello’s first move into loungewear. While Frankies Bikinis has built its business around swimwear, knitwear and dresses, the new collection introduces a stronger focus on plush fabrics and relaxed dressing.

The pieces are made using Barefoot Dreams’ signature CozyChic and CozyChic Lite materials, known for their soft, blanket-like feel. Aiello praised the fabrics’ comfort, explaining that the collection offered an opportunity to let Barefoot Dreams’ expertise guide the designs.

Hoodies, Lounge Sets and Statement Accessories

The collection combines familiar Frankies Bikinis silhouettes with Barefoot Dreams’ signature approach to comfort. Key pieces include zip-up hoodies, sweaters, coordinated lounge pants, tank tops and matching low-rise shorts.

New additions include ponchos and a CozyChic hooded robe featuring a delicate rose motif running down the back. A headscarf also stands out as a distinctive accessory, translating the collection’s soft-texture concept into an everyday styling piece.

Aiello described the headscarf as one of her favorite designs, inspired by her own fondness for wearing bandanna-style scarves. Made in Barefoot Dreams’ signature fabric, the accessory brings a playful touch to the otherwise relaxed assortment.

The color palette features muted pearl, black, cotton-candy pink and ocean-mist blue, reinforcing the collection’s soft, feminine mood.

Two California Brands Come Together

Barefoot Dreams owner Stan Cook said the collaboration reflects the shared values of both labels, particularly their emphasis on comfort, personal style and effortless living. Having known Aiello for years, he described the partnership as a natural extension of the relationship between the brands.

Priced from $60 to $220, the Frankies Bikinis x Barefoot Dreams collection is available through both brands’ online stores and at Frankies Bikinis retail locations across the United States.
