Paul Smith will open next Pitti Uomo: Paul Smith, the famous British designer, will return to the 106th Pitti Immagine Uomo in June to reveal his SS25 collection, marking a notable comeback to the esteemed event after nearly three decades.

Paul Smith’s longstanding affiliation with Pitti’s acclaimed reputation for tailoring makes his participation particularly notable. The company will highlight its dedication to fitted apparel in its SS25 mainstream collection preview, which will be held on June 11, for buyers and press.

Sir Paul Smith gave an enthusiastic statement about the impending event, saying, “I am very excited to be opening Pitti Uomo with the debut of my collection.” Being one of the inaugural guest designers at Pitti in 1993, he considers this a significant event honouring the finest in menswear. For him, going back to Florence is really meaningful since it brings back fond memories and makes him feel at home.

Pitti Immagine CEO Raffaello Napoleone lauded Smith, calling him “a visionary designer” and “an ambassador of British creativity,” a reference to their thirty years of friendship and partnership. Thanks to their collaboration, the fashion world has witnessed a plethora of unforgettable events.

This year, Paul Smith has been quite busy with a number of projects, including his Pitti Immagine Uomo debut. A new centre for London’s up-and-coming fashion designers is being planned in the Smithfield neighbourhood, and the Paul Smith Foundation has now confirmed its support for this endeavour. Artists and designers working in the United Kingdom will have access to cutting-edge facilities through the Fashion Residency at Studio Smithfield.

In addition, the brand has launched a spring tailoring collection in cooperation with Manchester United and created an immersive light display in London’s Covent Garden. The unsustainable post-Covid environment led to the January closure of all Paul Smith outlets in Germany, demonstrating that issues persist. But the brand is strong and keeps selling through wholesale channels in the country.
