Iconix’s Zoo York Expands into European Market through Partnership with TB International and Snipes

Iconix’s Zoo York Expands: With the help of a long-term licensing agreement with TB International, a German firm, Iconix’s European subsidiary has revived the Zoo York skate brand in the European market. A Direct-to-Retail (DTR) agreement with Snipes, a local streetwear retailer, will be the result of this engagement.

Distribution through Snipes’ pan-European wholesale network will help reintroduce Zoo York to the European market. Based in London, Iconix Europe has full faith in TB International’s strategic brand management skills, which they will put to use by drawing on their knowledge and resources in product development and production. By leveraging Snipes’ standing in the urban fashion industry, the partnership hopes to establish Zoo York as a major participant in the European streetwear scene.

A creative campaign highlighting the brand’s adaptable bottoms—cargo pants, distressed denim, and relaxed-fit shorts—was unveiled this month alongside the SS24 line. In addition to traditional neutrals like black, white, and gray, the collection showcases a daring color palette that includes electric blues, flaming reds, neon greens, and more.

Available at Snipes stores nationwide, the collection combines unique images from Zoo York’s legacy with trend-led patterns. Basics and accessories cost €34.99, while outerwear and shoes cost €79.99.

Zoo York has been around for 30 years, making it one of the first skate brands from New York to compete with the West Coast heavyweights. Capturing the roughness and embracing the underdog, its archives showcase legendary moments from New York’s underground culture, including skateboarding, music, fashion, and art.

The success of Snipes’s own-brand and licensed labels, such as Karl Kani and K1X, was emphasized by Simon Bus, Head of Communications & Entertainment at the company. Snipes has rethought classic items of apparel and footwear styles, showing hope for the future of Zoo York and appealing to both the brand’s current and future customers.
