L’Oréal USA Names Ali Goldstein as New Head of Acquisitions

L’Oréal USA has announced a significant leadership change with the appointment of Ali Goldstein as President of Acquisitions. This move underscores the company’s commitment to identifying and integrating emerging beauty brands into its portfolio as part of its long-term growth strategy. Goldstein steps into this role following the retirement of Carol Hamilton, an industry veteran who dedicated 40 years to L’Oréal.

Ali Goldstein brings extensive experience, having been with L’Oréal since 2001. Over the years, she has played a key role in shaping major brands such as L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, and Garnier. Most recently, she served as President of L’Oréal Paris USA, where her keen understanding of consumer trends helped drive brand growth and market leadership.

In her new role, Goldstein will oversee acquisitions across all four of L’Oréal’s divisions: Mass Market, Luxury, Dermatological, and Professional Beauty. She will report directly to David Greenberg, CEO of L’Oréal USA and President of L’Oréal North America Zone. Greenberg expressed confidence in Goldstein’s ability to lead in this crucial area, emphasizing her expertise in recognizing beauty trends and growing brands.

Goldstein’s appointment comes at a time when L’Oréal is actively expanding its brand portfolio through strategic acquisitions. In February 2025, the company took a notable step by acquiring a minority stake in Jacquemus, the renowned French fashion brand. This strategic partnership opens new opportunities for L’Oréal to strengthen its presence in the luxury beauty segment.

As beauty trends continue to evolve, L’Oréal’s acquisition strategy aims to position the company at the forefront of industry innovation. With Goldstein at the helm, L’Oréal is well-positioned to identify and invest in promising brands, ensuring continued growth and leadership in the market. Her experience, strategic mindset, and deep understanding of consumer preferences will play a vital role in shaping L’Oréal’s future acquisitions.

Ali Goldstein’s leadership signals a strong commitment to finding and nurturing brands that align with L’Oréal’s vision. As the company moves forward, its focus on strategic growth and emerging beauty trends will remain central to its success. The industry will be watching closely as L’Oréal continues to make bold moves in the beauty world.
