Good things do certainly take time, as Jennie Kim proved tonight at the 2024 Met Gala red carpet in a breathtaking couture Alaïa gown designed by Pieter Mulier. The autumn 2024 collection served as inspiration for the royal blue gown, which took thirteen meters of fabric and an astounding two hundred hours to complete.

The gauzy fabric of Kim’s dress danced gracefully in the spring wind, highlighting her presence as she walked the red carpet. Kim may or may not meet the “winter” profile according to current color analysis trends, but there’s no denying that the royal blue shade was tailor-made for her. Kim, who is known for her impeccable figure and knack for embracing different styles, exuded confidence and style in the gown.

Kim repeated her choice of a minidress from the previous year, drawing attention to the stunning design. Keeping with the understated theme, her jewelry consisted of a delicate belly chain and pearl drop earrings. Fans were hoping to see her Gentle Monster-designed sunglasses at the after parties, even if they didn’t show up on the carpet.
