Balmain Pays Tribute to Its Marketing Director Txampi Diz
Balmain Pays Tribute: Another important manager has left Balmain. The company released a statement stating, “Txampi Diz, marketing director since 2017, has decided to leave the historic luxury house to pursue other interests,” while withholding information regarding his future plans. The appointment of his successor is still pending.
The seventeen-year Balmain manager, who has always been very reserved, did not announce his retirement from the fashion brand until after Paris Fashion Week, when creative director Olivier Rousteing showed his most recent ready-to-wear collection.
Balmain and Txampi Diz’s partnership started in 2007 when the label became one of KCD’s primary customers, the communication firm where he worked. He later rose through the ranks to become the agency’s vice president and managing director of KCD’s Paris office.
After being acquired by the Mayoola fund in 2017, Balmain restructured to speed up its development and hired Txampi Diz to be chief marketing officer. Diz is responsible for advertising, media relations, and digital activities for the Parisian design brand, having joined after fifteen years at KCD.
According to Olivier Rousteing, who was involved with Txampi from the beginning at Balmain, the company has been a tremendous supporter, friend, and collaborator. According to Balmain CEO Jean-Jacques Guével, Txampi has been an excellent collaborator throughout the years. Count on his new solutions and fresh perspective; we will all miss him.
