Loewe beckons the summer with the latest iteration of its Paula’s Ibiza capsule
Loewe beckons the summer with the latest iteration: Presented at the beginning of summer by the French conglomerate LVMH, Loewe’s 2024 Paula’s Ibiza collection is an endearing variety of designs and accessories infused with the carefree, lively mood that characterizes this yearly presentation from the luxury brand.
The collection takes its cues from the legendary Paula’s boutique in Ibiza, which has come to represent the island lifestyle and counterculture of the 1970s. It showcases flowing, feminine pieces with asymmetrical hems, crop tops, and ruffled miniskirts printed with vintage scarf prints. Oversized shirts and loose-fitting “west coast” shorts are men’s go-to pieces for prints.
Abstract motifs like dice, teddy bears, and planets decorate a variety of items, including t-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, and swimwear, in this collection that features captivating designs by artist Douglas Abraham.
In the world of accessories, Loewe keeps delving into basketry with new takes on woven raffia for bags like the Puzzle and Puzzle Fold, and leather for models like the Flamenco Bucket. Pieces of leather embellished with raffia patterns and tropical fruits capture the collection’s carefree spirit.
Loewe has expanded its eyewear collection with the new Sporty Mask sunglasses made of acetate, in addition to a wide variety of footwear alternatives such as espadrilles, lightweight sandals, tough cowboy boots, stylish low-top sneakers, and more.
Gray Sorrenti captured the eclectic cast of characters from the music and art spheres, all of whom are renowned friends of the brand, for Loewe’s Paula’s Ibiza collection campaign. Embracing an inclusive ethos, the commercial shows candid moments of reclining and mingling with nature, among other things.
Loewe also promises to donate to local communities for every basket sold, demonstrating its dedication to social responsibility. Humanitarian relief operations in the aftermath of the 2023 earthquake in Morocco, a school scholarship program in Colombia, and a training center for artisans in Madagascar will all receive funding from these donations.
