Italian Designer Eleonora Falcone Wins 2024 Shein X Challenge
Eleonora Falcone Wins 2024 Shein X Challenge: The 2024 Shein X Global Challenge was won by Italian fashion designer Eleonora Falcone, according to the online fast-fashion retailer Shein.
‘GlowMantic’ was Falcone’s winning collection; it had one of the highest vote totals in the public voting round and thrilled the judges in London, where she took home the crown and EUR10,000.
It was encouraging for everyone on the judging panel to see that female designers were well-represented this year, with nine of them making it to the final round. At first glance, Eleanora’s contribution was clearly different. “We knew we had a bright fashion star in our midst” remarked Julien Fournié, a 2024 Shein X Global Challenge judge, when she presented her submission, inspiration, and logic at the finals in London.
“She had an obvious ambition to succeed, and she succeeded in understanding the theme and turning it into a collection that will undoubtedly be well-received.”
The Shein X Designer Incubator Program is a flagship program of Shein that aims to encourage budding designers to develop successful global fashion companies. Falcone will be a part of it as part of her prize. Falcone, along with all of the other finalists, will have their collections manufactured and made accessible to Shein’s 150 million users worldwide.
“We are very excited for what Eleanora will bring to the Shein X Designer Incubator Program and to the fashion industry!” Reported by Molly Miao, Chief Marketing Officer of Shein.
She is already well-positioned to be a successful fashion designer thanks to her natural talent, technical proficiency, and awareness of marketability. We anticipate a high level of demand for the GlowMantic collection once it launches on Shein sites worldwide, thanks to Shein’s on-demand production approach, global logistical knowledge, and marketing expertise.
Jualcanti de Siqueira of Brazil won the Creativity Award, Yuto Nomura of Japan the Next Gen Award, and Fungai Sarah Muzoroza of the UK the Style Award, among other contenders. All other finalists received three thousand euros apiece, while the winners each received five thousand euros.
Up until 2028, the Shein X Designer Incubator Program will have invested a whopping US$105 million.
