Hurley inks licensing deal with Mamiye Brothers: In a major breakthrough for its women’s sportswear and activewear collection, which is scheduled to launch on January 1, Spring 2025, Hurley announced on Tuesday an intriguing new collaboration with Mamiye Brothers, a renowned women’s fashion manufacturer. A news statement from the Hurley brand—owned by Bluestar Alliance—stated that the partnership would advance the women’s category by fusing innovation and style.

Citing Mamiye Brothers’ history of deftly interpreting and adapting brand aesthetics, Bluestar Alliance COO Ralph Gindi voiced confidence in the collaboration. Since Gindi has worked with Mamiye Brothers on other brands in their portfolio, she thinks they would be a great fit to help Hurley’s women’s category continue to thrive.

The alliance will be spearheaded by Olympic gold medalist and five-time world champion Carissa Moore. Moore will work closely with the Mamiye crew, providing design and consulting services to bolster the Hurley brand. Moore, who is ecstatic about the opportunity, plans to use her creative talents to design activewear that women can wear all year round, with an emphasis on practicality without sacrificing flair.

Since its founding in 1947, Mamiye Brothers has been widely recognised as a leading fashion apparel company that caters to a wide range of demographics through its design, manufacturing, and marketing efforts. The cooperation benefits greatly from Mamiye Brothers’ extensive knowledge and experience, as it is the parent company of well-known brands such as Scotch & Soda and Kensie Jeans. Mamiye Brothers’ Executive Vice President Nathan Mamiye was very positive about the partnership, saying that it will help propel innovation and growth in the women’s sportswear industry.

An important step in Mamiye’s plan to expand their business has been the acquisition of Hurley. The 2019 purchase of Hurley by Bluestar Alliance from Nike Inc. set the stage for future collaborations and efforts to increase the brand’s visibility in the cutthroat women’s fashion industry.
