Charles Jeffrey Loverboy to Receive Dedicated: Charles Jeffrey Loverboy has been specifically approached by the enigmatic Rei Kawakubo to produce a few unique pieces for the eagerly anticipated launch of Dover Street Market Paris next month.

It comes after she extended an invitation to the label to produce unique goods for the Trading Museum CdG’s reopening at the end of October of the previous year.

The innovative British brand will be shown in a section of the new Paris concept shop called “The RK space,” or Rei Kawakubo Curates. This area will include her two primary collections, Comme des Garçons and CDG Homme Plus, as well as designers she has personally selected.

According to the brand, Kawakubo “reimagined them with a new take” after “looking back at the Loverboy archive of ‘beautiful suits and tailored jackets.”

They have tartan holes, layered canvas, vibrant colors, appliqué circular patches, fraying, and come in British wool and Italian cotton.

The “creatures” designed by Charles Jeffrey Loverboy will also be offered as dog tag necklaces, kilt pins, and brooches.

It coincides with a busy period for Charles Jeffrey, as the company also revealed this month that the designer and creative, who was born in Glasgow, will have his first-ever UK exhibition at Somerset House in London.

It will commemorate the label’s tenth anniversary and explore the designer’s “sensational impact on the global fashion scene, from club to catwalk” from June to September. The “full spectrum of his prolific output, with newly commissioned works” will be on display.
