Caleres Appoints New General Merchandise Manager: Senior VP and general merchandise manager for the Famous Footwear brand at Caleres, Andrew Leckie was recently appointed to the position.

Leckie is now in charge of the brand’s purchasing and merchandising for the adult athletic, children’s, and Canadian businesses.

Leckie is an industry veteran with almost 30 years of experience who offers a plethora of knowledge to the role. He has extensive experience in North American leadership roles, having worked for companies including Foot Locker and Dick’s Sporting Goods. At Champs Sports, he was most recently the VP and GM of merchandise.

Famous Footwear president Mike Edwards has faith in Leckie’s abilities to lead the company ahead, praising his background in strategy development, vendor partnerships, improving product assortments, and leading teams.

Notable shoe brands Famous Footwear, Sam Edelman, Allen Edmonds, Vionic, and Naturalizer are all members of the Caleres family.

Leckie personally expressed pleasure about joining Caleres and Famous Footwear, stressing his admiration for the company’s performance and expressing confidence in their potential to significantly expand market share and enhance brand alliances under his direction.
