Italian luxury brand Gucci has set trends in the fashion industry for more than a century. Gucci Cosmos, an immersive experience, will honor the famous brand’s 102-year history and rich tradition, from its progenitor Guccio Gucci to his successors Tom Ford, Frida Giannini, and most recently Alessandro Michele.

The exhibition, which is being organized by Italian fashion critic Maria Luisa Frisa, will showcase eight immersive “worlds” created by British artist Es Devlin that combine acoustic, visual, and kinetic experiences. Each of them will highlight items from the Gucci archives in Florence and follow the brand’s creative history from its creator Guccio Gucci through its successors Tom Ford and Frida Giannini to the designs of Alessandro Michele, who abruptly left the firm in November.

Gucci is starting its tour in Shanghai with the hope of reviving the company’s image and regaining the Chinese public’s interest, which might boost sales in the region. Numerous businesses from various industries were delighted to hear that China had lifted its limitations as of January 8. The “Gucci Garden Archetypes,” part of Gucci’s 100th anniversary celebrations, was the brand’s most recent exhibition in the nation in 2021. Chinese brand ambassadors, including Lu Han and Ni Ni, were present at the event. The brand’s Aria fashion show was then repeated in the city in June of that year, and 13 additional pieces were added to the lineup.

“This exhibition will take guests on an enthralling journey through the past, present, and future of the House” said Marco Bizzarri, President and CE

Gucci intends to debut Gucci Cosmos from April 28 to June 25, at the West Bund Art Center in Shanghai before touring the world.
