The Futuristic Collection by Viktoria Tisza Showcased during New York Fashion Week
Inspired from the futuristic and science fiction film industry, Viktoria Tisza showcased her latest collection as a CAAFD selected and approved designer during the New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019 Showcase at Pier 59. Tisza uses molded pieces of silicon rubber as her fabric , a versatile material that supports her sci-fi ambience projects. The collection which contains mostly dresses and other outdoor pieces represent silicon in a glamorous and glittery avatar.
The Hungarian fashion designer established her company in 2012 and her main focus was women’s swimwear. From 2014 she started experimenting with new technology and that is when she started using silicon rubber in her collection. Her collection is 100% waterproof, endurable and completely eco-friendly. Tisza makes sure her that there is no wastage during the creative process and collection pieces are easy to clean requiring minimum water and chemical usage. For her Splash collection she had upgraded the technology by injecting water between layers of silicone to create the ‘Splash’ effect. With each and every collections she stretches her boundaries to lift silicone art to a new level just as she did with Possession.
She has designed on-stage bodysuits and dresses for Beyoncé and her dancers for her 2015 World Tour. Her designs have already been featured in British Vogue, Vogue China, Vogue Italia, Glamour UK and in almost all significant Hungarian fashion magazines.
