Spring/Summer 2020 Collection at NYFW: Elie Tahari
Designer Elie Tahari came to New York in the 1970’s and since then the designer has paved a way for himself in the world of fashion. It is from the ’70s the Israeli designer has taken his inspiration from. Tahari presented his Spring/Summer 2020 Collection at the New York Fashion Week loosely inspired from that decade of disco. His name over the years has become synonyms for his professional wear especially the suits.
The palette picked for this season was quite neutral with a couple of pieces in red. Tahari brought a softer touch to his office to wear chic outfits. There were mini skirts, mini suits along with flowing maxi dresses. A couple of minimalist gowns were also thrown in the mix. Not everything from the collection fits the classic Tahari creations, but we didn’t really mind the freshness the whole collection had. Polka dots and animal prints added an element of fun. We were especially digging the calf-length beige trench coat with the cheetah print lapel and the polka-dot bucket hat. They just gave a cheeky nod to Elie Tahari’s Spring/Summer 2020 Collection.
