Dennis Basso has been in the fashion business for a long time. He has dressed mothers, their daughter’s and probably their daughter’s daughters over the past couple of decades. The man is all about sophisticated glamour. This season was all about celebrating these ladies. He presented his Spring/Summer 2020 Collection captures the essence of a breezy holiday with ladies who enjoy the classical vacation locale’s that are  Newport, Biarrtiz, Southampton, and Palm Beach.

With beautiful, inviting and calming colors of white, coral and shades of blue, the collection had something for everyone. The designer perfectly balanced his collection between day wear and evening wear. With printed floral patterns and elegant beadwork, his day wear collection was minimalist yet modern. One could easily imagine sitting by the ocean in some of these pieces and enjoying a breeze. There were day dresses, jumpsuits, kaftans and shorts and jacket sets. For the evening wear, one could find a couple of fur coats and gowns with plunging necklines.

The designer collaborated with designer Ashley Longshore for his art-inspired finale piece. Longshore who also closed the show for Basso hand painted 15 yards of a floor-length trail which she wore for the finale. She hand-painted a matching pair of trousers which Basso was spotted wearing. If you ever plan on taking a vacation by the beach, we suggest you look at Dennis Basso’s Spring/Summer 2020 Collection.
