Sally Lapointe: Fall 2020 Collection

Sally Lapointe had a lot going for her during the New York Fashion Week. The designer will be marking her 10th year in the Fashion industry this September. Other than that, she also made an important announcement that she will be dropping Sally from her brand name to give the brand longevity and help it expand in other areas like accessories. Coming to her Fall 2020 Collection, it was everything we have come to except Sally Lapointe: bold, glamorous, and unapologetic.

“The Fall 2020 Collection started with the idea of there being no rules. Drawing inspiration from the attitudes of muses like Grace Jones and Bianca Jagger, these clothes are unapologetic. Ditch the conventions – just be you.”

The designer picked up a rich color palette from lime green to turquoise and from chartreuse to violet. Even though her collection was that of evening wear, one could not spot a single gown in the 37 piece collection. It is not like we did not want evening gowns, but we did not miss them either. Sally Lapointe brought a modern touch to the concept of evening wear as she opened her show with an electrifying glam suit. She stuck to her monochromatic dressing style as she introduced her models in leather pants, cozy knitwear, trousers, stylish tops, scarfs, and jackets. We particularly love the crop sweater paired with a mini leather skirt in a nude shade. The fur jackets added a nice touch to the collection. The whole collection was what one could term as sexy but in the most refined and elegant way possible. What was new was the collection of bags that Sally Lapointe introduced this season as she ventures into the world of accessories. The designer ended the show on a promise of launching more accessories in the coming seasons.
