Proenza Schouler at NYFW for the Fall’19 Collection
The designer duo behind Proenza Schouler – Jack McColloug and Lazaro Hernandez decided to showcase their Fall’19 Collection on the 22nd floor of a new high rise at Hudson Yard. The set up was of a bare concrete industrial space, with a scenic view of the Hudson River and the skyline surrounding it. The designer duo is known for experimenting and redefining to put refinement to their collections.
This collection showcased the use of denim, leather and androgynous suiting styled in a clean and clear way. Most of the pieces seemed gender neutral. The highlight of the collection was the various kinds of trench coats the designer duo showcased on the runaway. The jackets and coat displayed multiple panels. The dresses gave a utilitarian feel. The brand is known for some stunning pieces of accessories and they did not disappoint this time either. The square-toed, angular cut boots were the most highlighted accessory. Other than they had a wide array of handbags from the metal rings tote bags to the long chained strap compact purse. In their press notes, Jack McColloug and Lazaro Hernandez said:
“Continuing to clearly define and refine the Proenza Schouler woman is at the core of the fall 2019 collection.Pieces are created as remnants of things that once were, thus calling on one’s memory to complete the composition.”
