Jennifer Lopez is the new global ambassador for luxury brand Coach

Jennifer Lopez is on fire. She won the CFDA Icon Award of the year in June 2019, broke the internet with her Versace catwalk and acted in the movie ‘Hustler’ which could potentially earn her an Oscar nomination. For 2020, she already created a buzz with her hotly anticipated Super Bowl Half Time performance with Shakira. Now, the award-winning actress, singer, producer and entrepreneur has been chosen the new global face for the luxury brand, Coach. She will replace Selena Gomez who has been the face of Coach since 2016. Gomez has collaborated on several collections with the brand. Michael Jordon is the face of the men’s division for Coach since 2018.

“I’m so excited for this collaboration with Coach,” Jennifer Lopez said. “It is a timeless brand that I’ve always been a fan of and the upcoming collection really speaks to my personal style, an uptown/downtown mix.”

Starting Spring 2020, Jennifer Lopez will star in Coach’s leather goods, ready-to-wear and footwear advertisement campaigns. Lopez’s relation with the brand goes way back. She first carried Coach bags in her 2002 video “All I Have” with LL Cool J.” The brand is equally excited to welcome Lopez as part of the Coach family. Both the brand and Lopez have roots in New York. For the upcoming campaign, the actress is going to be photographed by Juergen Teller. He has previously captured Yara Shahidi and Jemima Kirke for previous Coach campaigns.

Coach creative director Stuart Vevers says, “Jennifer is so authentic. She’s determined and she’s an original who has followed her own path to do things her own way, she really embodies the attitude of Coach and our new campaign,” Coach creative director Stuart Vevers said in a statement. She’s from New York like Coach, which creates another authentic connection with our heritage, and I’m particularly excited about bringing Jennifer and Juergen Teller together.”
