Frank Ocean is the new face of Prada
Frank Ocean is the new face of Prada in its new SS20 campaign. Frank Ocean who is an American singer-songwriter, photographer and record producer, has been announced the new face of Prada in its SS20 campaign that has been labeled “Optimist Rhythm”. Frank Ocean has always been a huge fan of Prada and has often been seen sporting it at various events such as the Met Gala 2019 and on the cover of W magazine.

Fans are surprised to see Frank as the new face of Prada since he’s known to keep a low profile and is rarely seen giving interviews or photoshoots. So to see him lead an entire fashion campaign is a surprise to most. However, this is not his first time modeling as he has already appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein and Band of Outsiders.
The photographs for the campaign have been captured by photographer David Sims in both black and white as well as color. One image sees Ocean in a parquet-floored apartment donning a long coat, an oversized shirt, a pair of cropped camel trousers, and a slim bolo tie much similar to the look he wore to the Met Gala in 2019.
In another image, we see him in a black roll-neck sweater staring off into the distance as if caught in the moment.
Frank Ocean, the new face of Prada, has also put his own words into Prada’s acronym and the Prada logo has been repurposed for the season. The Prada logo now reads “Programming Rhythms And Dancing Again” that has been derived from ‘abstract ideas, thoughts and notions’ as described by the press release issued by the label.
Actor Austin Butler, as well as director Nicolas Winding Refn, are also the faces for this season of Prada’s new campaign and they look great as well.
The year 2020 is going great for Frank Ocean who has recently been announced to headline Coachella this year. We last heard from Ocean in 2016 of his album Blonded, and it only seems fair to say he’s making a major comeback this year after a hiatus of 4 years.
