Hakuyo Miya showcased for the third time at the NYFW with the approval of CAAFD ((The Council of Aspiring American Fashion Designers) for Fall/Winter ’19 showcasing. Miya used fantasy style elements, fiery designs combining color, texture and culture into beautiful and edgy elegant pieces. His designs represented innovative lines and cuts as well as the aspect of modernism throughout the collections, features he has distinguished himself with.

“The theme for this collection is “le crépuscule” (dusk, or twilight); the moment between day and night. It is a very mysterious moment; a moment that is very dear to me. Sometimes, I work all night long and there I feel something very special. I really like it.” the designer told Guild Magazine.

Born in Japan, Miya went on to study at the Atelier Chardon Savard in Paris. This gave his work the unique French flair. his brand Mouton Blanc ( French for white sheep) is known for creating women’s ready-to-wear  perfect combinations of beautiful silhouettes of fantasy and delicate and bold fabrics. Each piece of the brand  offers a unique blend of Parisian elegance, influences of Japanese traditions and enchanting stories from Eastern Europe. Mouton Blanc has their own unique style as they use intricate lace, astonishing volumes and are on a constant search for new materials and textures, in a visual world where traditions meet the unexpected.
