Fall’19 Couture: Armani Privé

Giorgio Armani has been a part of the fashion industry for decades. At 84, the maestro still knows how to bring the house down with his pieces. The fashion house is known for giving red carpet looks season after season and the Fall’19 Haute Couture Armani Privé Collection just added to it.

The Collection was inspired by the folk style of the late ’80s and early ’90s. The designer chose a color palette of black and white with pastels mostly in the shades of blue and pink. He also used a lot of crystals and sparkles in a balanced proportion. The whole collection had tailored jackets with trousers which had the ease and look of wearing pajamas taking the audience back to the ’80s when this style was in fashion. The designer also used net dusted with a handful of nets for tops and over the trousers to give a more free-flowing look to the piece. In his show notes he said:

“The impression is that of a clear water surface reflecting a ray of moonlight or sunlight,”

There were also some maxi skirts and tiered dresses which were thrown in the mix. The Fall’19 Collection couldn’t have been complete without gowns and they were many that caught the eyes of the audience. Elegant gowns in soft pastel shades and black and white palette are something one can be sure to see on the red carpet this year worn by many of the stars some who were also in attendance for the show.
