An Elvis Presley Inspired Collection by Sally LaPointe

Sally LaPointe took inspiration from Elvis Presley’s “68 Comeback Special”  for her Fall/Winter’19 Collection. She presented a monochromatic collection on the runaway keeping with her brand’s image of producing luxe clothing for her clientele.  The collection saw the use of real snake skins on three pieces along with usage of leather for jumpsuits and pants.

The palette was rich, tasteful, sophisticated and glamorous. It consisted of colors like biker black, winter white, pale green, plum and crimson. The collection was split between pants and pencil skirts in various high-end fabrics like silk, wool, cashmere and alpaca blends. There were pieces of jumpsuits, bodysuits, cozy knits, striped blouses and jackets.  The designer had aimed to present a “chic, modern Elvis,” through this collection of hers.
