Christian Siriano: Futuristic Theme Fall/Winter Collection at NYFW
Christian Siriano is known for whimsical and show-stopping design – from fantasy evening gowns and cocktail dresses to tailored sportswear he has done it all and this showcasing was no different. Siriano pulled off a jaunt to Midtown and the top of Rockefeller Center. The whole runaway was converted into a 360 view of the Manhattan skyline and Raymond Hood’s Art Deco architecture which completely fell in the line with the Siriano’s Collection. This season’s theme was futurism through the eyes of the society.
“The idea was, if we’re living in another futuristic world, what would the social calendar be like?” “How would people dress and where would they go?”
Chanel Iman opened the collection with a knee-length silver faux fur. The collection consisted of Peplum dress, cropped Puffer Coats, off-shoulder gowns and Cosmic stripe Jumpsuits. In a powerful move, Siriano had plus size model Ashley Graham close the show in a cascading-mesh gown.
