BOSS: Simplicity and Refinement at NYFW
BOSS has had a rich lineage of delivering refined tailoring over the decades. The last day of the New York Fashion Week saw them doing the same just with trying to keep up with the new trends. The BOSS Fall’19 Men and Women’s Collection finds itself in the gallery district of Chelsea, having taken inspiration from the Manhattan art scene.
Ingo Wilts added a little flair of athleticism in the collection of suits and coats. The models were also spotted in pieces made of velvet, leather and luxe cashmere. The palette picked was true to colors of BOSS signature colors in shades of camel, grey, white and navy. But to balance out these shades, the collection also saw pop colors like cool yellow and hot pink. The collection was refreshingly simple with no glitz and glam but the simple art of tailoring speaking for itself.
“The collection was built on our heritage of suits and tailoring, but it’s much softer and rounder. Fabrics have volume but they’re light and soft. Last year’s men’s collection was “very constructed and utilitarian, but this is much softer,” Wilts said.
