Designer duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka celebrated their 30 years of partnership last year but for their Fall/Winter collection they decided to go way back than just 30 years. This year Badgley Mischka decided to take inspiration from the post World War II era of 40’s and 50’s. Vintage Mercedes-Benz sports cars were used as inspiration for the palette selection. Even though the colors were neutral, the fashion did not disappoint. Neither did the footwear!

Retro elements could be seen in voluminous sleeves and large bow accents. Plunging V-necklines with glittering jewelry for dresses and gowns along with some stunning  peep and pointy -toe pumps brought the old school glamour back. Sharp silhouettes brought elegance to the whole collection. Exquisite evening suits rounded up the collection. The whole collection was adorned with luxurious shades of gold, rose, jade, amber, opal and shimmering black. The closing finale was when all the models walked back on the stage all dressed in red but in separate designs and styles. The duo set up the right tone for the holiday season or maybe even the red carpet.
