Paul Giamatti Keeps Committing: Paul Giamatti made a chic statement at the Oscars this year that was reminiscent of an internet sensation from earlier in the season.

With his longtime partner Clara Wong, who looked dapper in a crisp tuxedo and black bow tie, the “The Holdovers” star walked the red carpet. Nonetheless, the understated accessories that he wore were what drew the attention of many observers.

On Instagram, stylist Michael Fisher revealed the finishing touch: Giamatti had cuff links emblazoned with the famous emblem of the much-loved burger joint on the West Coast. This decision was made in honor of Giamatti’s unforgettable January meal at the restaurant following the Golden Globes. Also displayed by Fisher was a pocket square that bore the initials of the character played by Paul Giamatti in “The Holdovers,” along with the words “See Ya!”

His pocket square featured the initials of his “Holdovers” character, Paul Hunham. “I always like a keepsake that my clients can remember the special night by,” stylist Michael Fisher said.MICHAEL FISHER

That wasn’t the end of the meticulousness. Fisher said that Cufflinks Depot made the cufflinks specifically for Paul, and that he usually makes sure to swing by the restaurant whenever he’s in Los Angeles because of how much he loves it. Regarding the pocket square, Tampa Monogram Embroidery made it.

After winning the Critics Choice Awards, Giamatti had a memorable In-N-Out moment where he made a funny comment about how great it is to go viral for something as simple as eating a cheeseburger.

Although Cillian Murphy took up the lead actor Oscar for “Oppenheimer,” viewers couldn’t help but feel for Paul Giamatti as they watched his co-star Da’Vine Joy Randolph win for supporting actress.
